TWO LITTLE SPORTS-LOVING RUSTBELT KIDS DESTINED TO BE TOGETHER

THE LOVEs THAT SHAPED OUR LIVES

We are so thankful to our parents and grandparents who filled our lives with so much joy, and taught us the true meaning of love!

FOLLOWING THEIR LOVE LEAD

Being the babies of our families, we both learned so much about love by witnessing the love in our older siblings beautiful marriages.

OUR LITTLEST LOVES

Our niece Zoe and nephews Owen & Gus will be at the wedding, so please don’t be shy to say hello!

WHY NEW YORK?

We went on our first date in July 2020 in the East Village, we took our first trip together the following month to upstate New York, and we said I love you for the first time on Halloween in the West Village. Although our love started at a distance, and we’ve moved to the west coast since, New York is where we fell in love and where we want to make our love official!

…and who doesn’t love a New York wedding?

THE CORE MEMORIES

2015 -

We first met at a bar in Boston in July, 2015. Paul was in town for a soccer game and Annie was with Erica visiting their best friend Maura in Boston. Maura and her husband Scott planned a fun night out and invited Maura’s high school friend Paul to meet them at the bar… voila, Annie and Paul met! We didn’t hang for too long that night, but Annie was smitten.

2019 -

Annie was at lunch with coworkers Marissa & Max when she decided to send a simple text to the guy she’d always had a crush on. '“Hey Paul! I’m newly single, let me know if you’re ever in the city and want to meet up.” Unfortunately for Annie, she quickly learned that Paul was in fact not also single… “No worries - figured I’d shoot my shot,” was how she played off her disappointment.

2020 -

“AK! I’m the newly single one now. If you’re still single, I’d love to see you,” was the text that brought this love story back to life. The stars aligned, and we learned first hand that timing really is everything! After texting for a few months while Paul was living in Miami with friends Michael & Paige and Annie in NYC with Erica, we finally met up for our first date when Paul visited the city. Paul invited his friend Frankie to meet up with them, which hilariously turned into a table for 3 first date.

2021 -

We dated long distance with Paul in Annapolis and Annie in New York, alternating visits to each other every few weekends. After Paul got a job opportunity at UCLA, we moved to L.A. with the added bonus that we would be closer to Annie’s sister Katie and brother-in-law Brent! We lived in a cute beach shack in Manhattan Beach and had some of the best nights with our new lifelong friends in the South Bay.

2022 -

On December 10, 2022, Paul proposed to Annie by the 14th street lifeguard tower in Manhattan Beach at sunset. He surprised her with her out-of-town best friend Erica, her cousin Lauren and her siblings Erin, Katie & Billy, who were all there to share in their celebration. We partied with friends & family at our favorite bar (Shellback), danced for hours, and cried happy tears all night long.

2024 -

This is where you come in! Almost exactly 4 years after our first weekend together in New York, we will officially become husband and wife with all of our best friends & family there to witness our marriage. To make this story come full circle, our mutual friend Maura (who introduced us) will be officiating our ceremony . We’re manifesting a beautiful day with a pretty rad party going into the wee hours of the night!
